- I have used Beechnut Kennels exclusively for years now and have been very satisfied.
- I know many people who use them and LOVE them.
- One of the best things about Beechnut is that they offer day care 7 days a week until 7pm on weekdays and 6 pm on weekends. Although the office is closed on major holidays so there is no day care on those days, they do oversee the boarded pets 7 days a week. One downside, there is no one there 24 hours a day although they have video monitoring of boarded pets. Pets have their own private, glass enclosed rooms that are spacious even for small dogs and individual dog doors to go outside.
- I have been using Brooke for seven months and she is fantastic. She is available on short notice and if your plans change, she is flexible with advance notice. My dog loves Brooke!
EDGEWATER DOG PARK
Located in Loch Haven Park at 3399-3361 Glebe Heights Dr, Edgewater, MD 21037. Accessed through gated areas to several separate dog runs.

- Really lovely dog park.
- The large dog area is separated into two nice long open runs and the small dog area is one separate run. There are plenty of shady areas even at midday.
- There is also a fresh water station available outside the runs, however water source doesn't always work, so good idea to bring some with you.
- I love this park.
- The spaciousness is amazing. My only thing is they need to develop a better drainage system because during the wet times it is a muddy mess.
- Good size for a dog to run. It's very clean, trash cans to throw away anything needed, seats to sit while your dog plays. Only thing miss is no dog agility equipment.
- Good size dog park for both big and small dogs usually has toys and balls . Has water spout for water . Only bad thing is usually no other dogs here.

are unable to afford the cost of a service animal. Bankrate created a guide that explains several options for covering the cost of a service dog, breaks down the total costs of obtaining a

Alice Tan is a mobile groomer based in Singapore (yes, near the country of Malaysia) so you're not going to use Alice's services, but her blog page is very informative about grooming and even doggie fashion trends - think gingham!

Insurance
Pet insurance is for emergencies, accidents, injuries and illnesses. It is not for routine care, which is what Wellness Plans are for. I have been a member for 15 years and used to teach the intermediate class. New classes start every 10 weeks or so.

Puppy packages, basic obedience, behavior modification for aggression/fearful dogs, advanced obedience, and CGC & therapy dog certifications.
- Mike spent two hours evaluating my rambunctious six-year old dog who had never been formally trained and did not know any commands. I enrolled in a program that included three private in-home sessions (one of which we did at the marina which is very distracting!) and group classes for one year (up to twice a week) at Riva Area Park in Davidsonville. I purchased an e-collar (mild tingling sensation) which made me nervous but the results were remarkable - my dog learned "sit" and "come" in one private session. Group classes are attended by 6-10 other dogs and it's excellent socialization without danger. My dog is doing so much better after Sit Means Sit training. Mike and Stephanie are incredibly caring and helpful even "after hours" by text if I need help. Highly recommend if you want your dog trained fast and safely.

Banfield offers a very affordable "Wellness Plan" that, for dogs, includes annual dental cleaning which at a vet costs hundreds more than the entire year's cost of the wellness plan, which also includes vaccinations and unlimited visits. Doctors and staff are caring and the environment is not as "clinical" as the traditional vet.
